Lisbon Golf Courses

Estoril Golf Club - Lisbon.com Editor's Pick
Av. Da Republica, 2765 Estoril Portugal
This is perhaps the most storied course in the Lisbon area, located west of the city in the coastal town of Estoril. The course is a tough one, designed by the great MacKenzie Ross. This coastal golf course, which offers views of the Atlantic from most holes, has played host to the International PGA Tour's Portuguese Open over 20 times. Mature trees help with the wind coming off the sea, but when it starts howling, scoring is nearly impossible.

Belas Clube de Campo
Alameda do Aqueduto, 2605-199 Belas Portugal
This is a world-recognized four-star golf course just ten minutes from downtown Lisbon, and just minutes from the airport. This par-72, 6,380-meter course is the masterpiece of designer William "Rocky" Roquemore. The course is partially bordered by a luxury housing development, but as for the rest its wide-open countryside and views of the Sintra Hills on either side of the fairways.

Lisbon Sports Club
Casal da Carregueira-Belas, 2605-213 Belas Portugal
This 18-hole golf course is located just 15 kilomters outside of Lisbon and it features a par-69, 5,278 meter course. Lisbon Sports Club offers plenty of challenges, including water coming into play on 12 holes.

Quinta da Beloura Golfe
R. das Sesmarias no. 3, Quinta da Beloura, Sintra Portugal 2710-444
This golf resort course is located along the base of Portugal's coastal Sintra Foothills just minutes from Lisbon. Posh is a word used to describe this golf experience. The facilities offer top-notch service from all aspects, and this Portuguese golf course itself is immaculately maintained. The surrounding landscape is lush with native trees, shrubs and wildflowers. The course is a long par-73, measuring 5,774 meters from the men's tees.

Quinta de Marinha Oitavos Golfe
Casa de Quinta 25, 2750 Cascais Portugal
This beautiful course is just 30 minutes from the Lisbon International Airport. The layout takes advantage of three distinct landscapes; the coastal transition areas, the dunes and the coastal wooded forest. The course offers ocean views on every hole of the Scottish style links course.

Troia Golf Club
Carvalhal GDL, Setubal Portugal
This is one of the top courses in Portugal, notorious for its difficulty and demand on all aspects of a golfers game. Scenic, and superbly maintained, Troia plays host to numerous amateur and professional tournaments. This Portuguese golf course is not far from Lisbon, and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
